SpinalCare

Privacy Policy

How we handle data. Last updated 30 June 2026.

What this site is

SpinalCare is a directory of US spine-care providers and a cited reference, built on public data. It organises information and is not medical advice. Most of the site can be used without giving us any personal information.

Information we collect

  • Analytics. We use privacy-respecting analytics (Google Analytics 4) to understand which pages are useful. This records things like pages visited, approximate region, device type and referring site. We do not use it to identify you personally.
  • Information you give us. If you contact us or submit a listing claim or correction, we receive what you send (for example your name, email and the listing details). We only use it to handle your request.

We do not run accounts, logins or payments at this time. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.

Provider listings

Directory listings are seeded from the US National Provider Identifier (NPI) registry — a public federal dataset — and other public sources. This is public professional information, not private data we collected from you. If you are a listed provider and want a correction or removal, see Claim your listing.

What we never do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not show personalised advertising. We do not share what you send us except as needed to provide the service or comply with the law.

Third-party services

Some pages load resources from third parties, each under its own privacy policy: Google Analytics (usage measurement), OpenStreetMap (map tiles), and YouTube (embedded expert video — which may set cookies if you play a video).

Cookies

We use the minimum needed for analytics and any embedded media. You can block or clear cookies in your browser; the directory still works without them.

Your choices

You can use a browser “do not track” or ad-blocking setting to limit analytics. To ask what we hold about a request you sent us, or to have it deleted, contact privacy@spinalcare.org.

Children

SpinalCare is for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version. Material changes will be noted here.
